Dr. Christopher Aldrich earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Iowa in 2012. Upon graduation, Dr. Aldrich wanted to gain advanced clinical experience prior to private practice. Dr. Aldrich earned his General Practice Residency Certificate from Meriter Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin, in 2013. After residency graduation, he joined Dr. Martin Averill as an associate at Waterloo Dental Associates. Dr. Aldrich purchased Waterloo Dental Associates in 2014.
During residency, Dr. Aldrich performed advanced procedures, including extensive cosmetic cases, wisdom tooth extractions, implant placement and restoration, root canal treatment, and many other dental therapies. He is a member of the American Academy of General Dentistry, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Iowa Dental Association, and the Waterloo District Dental Society. Dr. Aldrich has served as an executive and delegate for the Waterloo District Dental Society at the state level.
Dr. Aldrich participated in two dental mission trips to Jamaica, and also works with Iowa Missions of Mercy. Dr. Aldrich is also an active member in the community and has served Big Brothers/Big Sisters, The Boy and Girls Club, the Cedar Valley Jaycees, the Waterloo Open, and the Cedar Falls Tiger Performance Center.
Originally from Oelwein, Iowa. Dr. Aldrich earned his biology degree from the University of Iowa in 2007 and played wide receiver for the Iowa Football team from 2003-2006. He stays active running and playing basketball and golf. Dr. Aldrich and his wife Elana have 3 children – Annalise, Michael, and Jolene.
